  • A fantastic 90 minute cruise aboard the Forth Belle
  • See the Forth Bridges, Rosyth Docks, Limekilns and Blackness Castle
  • Spot local wildlife including seals, sea birds and even puffins
  • A delicious cream tea served as the voyage continues
  • For a family of four people

Explore the fascinating and Forth Bridges and see the historic Blackness Castle onboard The Forth Belle.

Stepping onboard the boat at The Hawes Pier in South Queensferry, take your seat for the 90 minute journey ahead. As you depart you’ll have magnificent views over the 1890 Forth Railway Bridge before passing underneath the 1964 Forth Road Bridge and 2017 Queensferry Crossing.

Travelling up-river you’ll have great views of Rosyth dockyard, Limekilns Village as featured in Robert Louis Stevenson’s Kidnapped and the historic coastline of Fife before arriving at the famous Blackness Castle.

One of the longest serving military installations in Scotland, Blackness castle was built on the site of an earlier fort by Sir George Crichton in the 15th century and has had a military career spanning some 700 years including active service as a munitions store in the first world war.

Blackness is often referred to as ‘the ship that never sailed’ because of its boat-like appearance jutting out into the river. It was also used for filming in hit TV series Outlander and Netflix’ Outlaw King.

Enjoy the view from the observation lounge or feel the wind in your hair at the front of the boat. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to see a wide variety of marine wildlife including Seals, cormorants and even puffins.

As the cruise continues you will be served a complimentary cream tea of scones preserves and cream, with tea or coffee, a perfect finishing touch to your day.

The trip is complimented with live commentary from your local, knowledgeable crew.
