As you drive up the swept driveway you’ll be greeted with an impressive view of the castle. Dalhousie offers 29 luxury and characterful en-suite bedrooms full of personality and character all reached by a maze of staircases and secret passages.

Themed guest bedroom

Every room at Dalhousie is unique and full of character. Luxuriously decorated with rich Scottish fabrics and period furniture worthy of a stay from a royal visitor. Despite the historic surroundings, each room has been designed with today’s guest in mind and comes complete with soft Egyptian cotton linens, fluffy robes, slippers and Spa toiletries.

Dinner, Bed and Breakfast

Descend an ancient stairway towards the atmospheric Dungeon Restaurant, situated in the barrel-vaulted dungeon. An acclaimed eatery creating an intimate and cosy candle-lit dining experience, it has twice won two AA Rosettes. Alternatively, the Orangery offers a more informal experience with sweeping views over the River Esk. Breakfast is served in the Orangery in the morning.

Falconry Experience

Get hands on with these fantastic and rare raptors in this fascinating, hour-long experience.  You’ll learn to handle and fly one of the owls before being invited to fly either a Harris’ Hawk, Common Buzzard or Kestrel. Watch these majestic bird soaring through the sky and landing precisely on your gauntlet.

Throughout the session the master falconers will ensure your enjoyment, talking you through what is happening, telling you about each birds unique personality and answering any questions you have.

The Private Tour

Your private tour guide will meet you at the hotel and whisk you off on a voyage of discovery to one of Scotland’s top visitor areas. The choice is yours and from Dalhousie the beautiful and unsoiled Scottish Borders are within reach, or perhaps you’ll choose to visit St Andrews and the East Neuk of Fife. Alternatively visit famous Stirling Castle and venture over to The Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park or stay local and explore Edinburgh and the world-famous Rosslyn Chapel a stones throw away.
