Get hands on with these fantastic and rare raptors in this fascinating, hour long experience  and experience both Owls and Raptors including Hawks, Buzzard or Kestrels flying at close proximity. 

For those with an interest in both Owls and Raptors including Hawks, Buzzards & Falcons, this Mixed Hour Experience is perfect! You will learn to handle and fly either one of their smallest or largest Owls, the decision of which is up to you. Then you will be invited to fly either a Harris’ Hawk, Common Buzzard or Kestrel. Watch these majestic bird soaring through the sky and landing precisely on your gauntlet.

Get within a talons reach of these magnificent Birds of Prey whilst learning the differences in both flight and nature between the Owls and Raptor.

The Hawk will fly free and will follow you wherever you walk, swooping back onto the fist when called; the Owl will fly gracefully from arranged perches and trees to your fist.

Throughout the experience the master falconers will ensure your enjoyment, talking you through what is happening, telling you about each birds unique personality and answering any questions you have.

The falconry centre is situated within the historic Dalhousie Castle estate in Midlothian. It offers fantastic accommodation for the birds and lots of open space in mature woodland to allow them to fly, giving visitors the ultimate experience.

The setup is designed to cater for small groups so as to give you a more personal experience with the birds.
