River Bugging White Water Experience in Perthshire

River Bugging is the latest things to hit the UK shores from New Zealand. The bug is a one person craft that looks like an inflatable armchair!

River bugs are a great way to play on the river if you want that little bit more excitement. They are ideal for summer river levels.  Splash pioneered river bugging in Scotland, and as such we are the most experienced provider of this fun outdoor activity.

Upon arrival, you will meet your instructor who will provide you with your wetsuit, safety gear, flippers and paddle mitts and the all important safety instruction to allow you to make the most of your trip. 

You will then be launched into the river where you and your group will venture downstream. Up stream the waters are quieter, allowing you to get used to your bug and practicing manoeuvres and techniques. 

But down stream the rapids await and you’ll soon be riding over ‘The Zoom Flume’ ‘Washing Machine’ and ‘Eddie Fences’ on the course. Look out for standing waves and pool-drops, which are guaranteed to make your trip even more extreme!

Your instructor will help you negotiate your own path down the white water rapids.

At the end of this experience its a short trip back to the activity centre to get changed. Don’t forget your swimmers!
