Departing from the pier side,  you’ll skim over the surface of Loch Tay. The panoramic windows of the boat give unparalleled views of the stunning and dramatic landscape, framed by Ben Lawers and Glen Lyon, Scotland’s longest Glen. Majestic Red Deer roam the hillsides and Golden Eagles soar above the peaks.

Over 90 minutes learn the history of this dramatic loch. Human habitation of Loch Tay stretches back 9000 years to a Stone Age encampment on the hillside of Ben Lawers and the Loch itself was home to 18 Iron Age Crannog settlements.

The area steeped in history, myths and folklore you will be mesmerised by mystical and spell binding stories of the people who have shaped the very fabric of this amazing area throughout the ages.

Launched in 2018, Iolaire (Gaelic for Eagle) is a state of the art Rigid Inflatable Boat with a heated cabin and open stern. Her 600hp engines are capable of pushing her past 45 mph, making Iolaire the biggest and fastest boat on Loch Tay! Her versatility makes it perfect for getting in close to the inaccessible banks of the loch and exploring the unique landscape from the water.
